Refund Policy

At BookNova.ai, your satisfaction is our priority. This Refund Policy explains how IMAGE LLC handles refund requests for our AI-powered PDF book generation service.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

1.1 Eligibility

All purchases of BookNova.ai lifetime access are covered by our 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. You can request a full refund if:

• You are not satisfied with the quality of AI-generated content
• The service does not meet your expectations
• You experience technical issues that we cannot resolve
• You change your mind about using the service
• For any other reason—we don't require detailed justification

1.2 Refund Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the date of your original purchase. The refund period starts from the date your payment is processed by Paddle (our payment processor).

2. How to Request a Refund

Requesting a refund from BookNova.ai is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps:

2.1 Information to Include

To expedite your refund request, please include the following information in your email:

• Email Address: The email you used to purchase BookNova.ai
• Purchase Date: Approximate date of your purchase (if known)
• Order ID: Your Paddle transaction ID (optional but helpful)
• Account Email: The email associated with your BookNova.ai account

2.2 No Questions Asked

We do not require you to provide a reason for your refund request. However, if you'd like to share feedback about your experience, we greatly appreciate it as it helps us improve our service.

3. Refund Processing

3.1 Processing Time

• Acknowledgment: Within 1-2 business days of your request
• Refund Approval: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
• Bank/Card Processing: After processing, it may take an additional 3-7 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer

3.2 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method you used for purchase:

• Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the same card
• PayPal: Refunded to your PayPal account
• Other Payment Methods: Refunded via Paddle using the original payment method

3.3 Refund Confirmation

Once your refund is processed, you will receive:

• An email confirmation from us (IMAGE LLC)
• A refund notification from Paddle (our payment processor)
• A transaction confirmation from your bank/card issuer

4. Account Access After Refund

4.1 Service Termination

Once a refund is issued, your access to BookNova.ai will be immediately terminated. This includes:

• Loss of access to your account and all features
• Deletion of your book projects and generated content after 90 days
• Removal of all stored data per our Privacy Policy

4.2 Data Export Before Refund

Important: We recommend exporting any book content or data you wish to keep before requesting a refund. Once your refund is processed, you will no longer have access to your account.

4.3 Re-purchasing After Refund

You are welcome to re-purchase BookNova.ai at any time after receiving a refund. However, please note:

• Previous book projects will not be recoverable
• Special promotional pricing from your original purchase may no longer be available
• You will be starting with a fresh account

5. Exceptions and Special Cases

5.1 Fraudulent Purchases

If we determine that a purchase was fraudulent or made with a stolen payment method, we reserve the right to:

• Immediately suspend account access
• Report the incident to relevant authorities
• Deny refund requests pending investigation

5.2 Abuse of Refund Policy

While we offer a generous refund policy, we monitor for abuse. If we detect patterns indicating refund abuse (e.g., repeated purchases and refunds), we reserve the right to:

• Deny future refund requests
• Restrict future purchases
• Terminate service access

5.3 Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. If you file a chargeback without contacting us first:

• Your account will be immediately suspended
• We may dispute the chargeback with your bank
• You may be banned from future purchases

We are committed to resolving any issues directly with you before chargebacks become necessary. Our 30-day refund policy provides a faster and more straightforward resolution than the chargeback process.

5.4 Promotional Discounts and Special Offers

Refunds for purchases made with promotional discounts or special offers will be issued for the actual amount paid, not the original full price. For example, if you purchased at a discounted rate of $49 (regularly $149), your refund will be $49.

6. Partial Refunds

6.1 When Partial Refunds Apply

BookNova.ai offers a lifetime access model with a one-time payment. We do not offer partial refunds because:

• There are no monthly or annual subscription tiers
• You receive full lifetime access with your purchase
• All features are included from day one

6.2 Full Refund Only

All eligible refund requests will receive a 100% full refund of the amount paid (minus any payment processing fees charged by banks or payment processors, which we cannot control).

7. Technical Issues and Support

7.1 Try Support First

Before requesting a refund due to technical issues, we encourage you to contact our support team. Many issues can be quickly resolved through:

• Troubleshooting assistance
• Account configuration adjustments
• Bug fixes and technical updates
• Feature guidance and tutorials

7.2 Refund Eligibility for Technical Issues

If we are unable to resolve a critical technical issue that prevents you from using BookNova.ai, you are fully eligible for a refund within the 30-day window—regardless of the time spent troubleshooting.

8. Payment Processor (Paddle)

8.1 Paddle's Role

BookNova.ai uses Paddle as our Merchant of Record for payment processing. While we handle all refund decisions and approvals, Paddle processes the actual refund transaction.

8.2 Refund Disputes with Paddle

If you encounter any issues with refund processing through Paddle, please contact us at [email protected], and we will work directly with Paddle to resolve the matter.

8.3 Currency and Exchange Rates

If you paid in a currency other than USD, your refund will be processed in the same currency. Please note that exchange rate fluctuations may result in slight differences between the original charge and refund amounts. We have no control over currency conversion rates applied by banks or card issuers.

9. Contact and Support

If you have any questions about our Refund Policy or need assistance with a refund request, please don't hesitate to contact us:

9.1 Business Hours

While our automated systems operate 24/7, our support team processes refund requests during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EET/EEST). Requests submitted on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

10. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Material changes will be communicated via email
• Changes will not affect refund eligibility for purchases made before the policy update

Purchases are governed by the Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase. If you purchased BookNova.ai under a different refund policy, those terms will continue to apply to your purchase.

11. Legal and Consumer Rights

11.1 Consumer Protection Laws

This Refund Policy is in addition to, not in replacement of, any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of Latvia, the European Union, or your local jurisdiction.

11.2 EU Consumer Rights Directive

For customers in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Our 30-day refund policy extends beyond this legal requirement.

11.3 Right to Cancel (Digital Content)

By purchasing and immediately accessing BookNova.ai (a digital service), you acknowledge that you waive the standard 14-day EU withdrawal period for the portion of the service already delivered. However, our 30-day money-back guarantee still applies.
